INTRODUCTION
Rehabilitation Medicine is the science of medicine involved in the prevention and reduction of disability and handicap arising from impairments, and the management of disabilities from a physical, psychosocial and vocational perspective.
The Rehabilitation Medicine Department is made up of multi-disciplinary units including Rehabilitation Medicine Unit, Physiotherapy Unit, and Occupational Therapy Unit.
The Rehabilitation Medicine department is located on the first floor next to Outpatient Specialist Clinic in Hospital Shah Alam.
OBJECTIVE
- To provide comprehensive and effective rehabilitation services to patients in order to attain optimal quality of life and function.
- To provide a holistic approach via interdisciplinary care.
- To support teamwork with other clinical disciplines and health care providers in providing high quality rehabilitation services.

- Return to work program

- Promotive and preventive rehabilitation

Monday to Thursday : 8.00am to 1 pm, 2pm until 5 pm
Friday : 8.00 am to 1215noon, 245pm until 5 pm
