3. Who’s qualified for bills deduction or fee exemption ?

For all cases of communicable diseases, recipients of social welfare assistance, the disabled (OKU), school students (with school confirmation letter), government employees (with guarantee letter/eGL), government pensioner and blood donors (depending on how often they do donation).

4. Does warded patient with contagious diseases get the fee exemption ?

For Malaysian citizen the payment is excluded.

5. What are the documents that need to be brought when seeking treatment or admission for the purpose of fee exemption?

Confirmation letter from the Social Welfare Department, Pension Card, School letter or confirmation letter (GL).

6. What does it meant by emergency cases for the purpose of treatment in the Emergency Department ?

Example of the emergency cases included cases of accidents (on the road/ at work/ domestic) asthma attacks, heart attacks, fainting, snake bites, fires, seizures, genital bleeding, food poisoning, or very strong abdominal pain.

7. Are family members allowed to wait for patients in the ward?

Yes. Parents/ guardians if the patient is a child, while adult patients are the only ones who are seriously ill and the guardian must be the same gender.

8. Does Hospital responsible for the loss of the patient’s/ beneficiary’s property or vehicle ?

No. The Hospital is not responsible for any loss. Therefore, patients/heirs are advised not to bring any valuables while in the hospital.
