The following are specific services provided in the Day Care Complex:

  • Dermatology - Dermatosurgery, Dermatology procedure and Patch Test

7. Registration

       

7.1. Pt must arrive at the Registration counter at least half an hour prior to their procedure (except for Dermatology - 15 mins prior to procedure).

7.2. Appointment card and proof of identification are required.

 7.3. Outpatients who is schedule for procedures requiring sedation should be accompanied by a responsible adult relative or friend when they present themselves to the registration desk. Name and contact number (hand phone) and address of accompanying person will be noted. This person must. Accompany the patient home after the procedure.

 7.4. Safety Box is available at the Registration counter for patient to keep their valuables (if necessary).

 8. Consent

 8.1. A standard written Consent form for all patients.

8.2. Consent can only be taken by a doctor whose Unit is performing the procedure.

8.3. Informed Consent taken the clinic /ward if the procedure date is less than two week is valid. Otherwise consent shall need to be retaken during the day of the procedures.

8.4. It is understood that with consent there will be explanation of the procedure to be performed, the risks and possible complications. Outpatients must be informed of the possibility of admission after their procedures, should this become necessary.

9. Discharge

9.1 Patients would be discharge after deemed fit by the unit doctor / anaesthetist.

9.2 Patients would need to be accompanied home by a responsible adult.

9.3 The patients would be given the following on discharge (by the unit doctor):
      a) Appointment for - next Clinic follow up.

  • next Day care procedure if necessary.
  • next Inpatient admission if necessary.

      b) Discharge medication if necessary.
      c) Specific verbal and written instructions regarding post procedure and to whom to consult if patients
          have problems.
     d) Medical certificate (if necessary).
     e) Referral Letter (if necessary).

9.4 Billing shall be issued after the procedure is performed and before the patient is discharged.

9.5 If the patient is admitted to the ward, the billing shall be done before the patient is discharged from the ward.
