INTRODUCTION
Hospital Shah Alam Clinical Research Centre (CRC) is one of the networks of Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) in Selangor/ Klang Valley. CRC HSAS serves as a local coordination center for research activities and training related to research. It has become a One Stop Centre to meet all the clinical research solution. Operating since May 2016, Hospital Shah Alam is committed to contribute and enhance health care by promoting and supporting the importance, quality, safety and efficiency of clinical research.
OBJECTIVES
1. Coordinate research activities by continuously improving our research capacity in achieving the Key Performance Indicator of Ministry of Health.
2. Establish a research institution which is well known throughout Malaysia and internationally.
GOALS
To become a clinical institution that encourages high impact, good quality and ethical clinical research that can improve patients’ health outcomes.

The Clinical Research Centre (CRC) Shah Alam Hospital provides the following services: -
- Facilitates Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) and Industry Sponsored Research (ISR)
- Facilitates feasibility studies
- Conduct research related trainings
- Promotes research activities
- Provides assistance in registration of research via NMRR
- Coordinates research & statistical consultation clinic
- Provides research based industrial training (depends on availability)

Requirements before conducting a research in Hospital Shah Alam:
- All research requires prior review and subject to approval by the Medical Research and Ethics Committee (MREC), and Hospital Director.
- Approval by the Director General of MOH of all research publications and presentations.
